Summary

2010-2011 Targets
To fund our part of the new EU-funded £1,000,000 programme to 2011, we committed to raise £100,000 up to Nov 2011. In return the EC granted £1.0m, ie 90% of the total TASU project funding. We have now achieved that target.

This covers the next stage of the local chicken and rice production and marketing work, as well as additional activities around road construction and irrigation, and disaster risk reduction activities in all 60 villages across the 4 districts. This will cover most of the core TASU costs for the next 2 years (Accenture is co-funding the sisal project for three years, along with donors to Oxfam's Enterprise Development Programme).

We are now looking to raise new funds to continue projects into 2012 and beyond.

As you can see, we need every penny and more...and there is so much more to do.
